I am committed to the notion that our youth must get outdoors so they can learn about and experience the natural world. Tasting the wonder and greatness of wilderness has the ability to change the way you see life, this planet, other humans, and yourself.

Mt. Shuksan

I am currently raising funds to support Bay Area Wilderness Training, an organization that trains youth workers and maintains a "gear library" allowing kids to get out into the wilderness for life-changing experiences.

Next month I will climb Mt. Shuksan, and the money I raise will make it possible for 50 (yes, 50!) youth to get out hiking and camping, many for the first time ever. These are kids who have never jumped into a natural river, or woken up to see a sky full of stars, or sat around a campfire making smores...
